Summer camp 2013

Time: 7:00am - 6:00pm

July 1st to August 23rd

Children have the opportunity to learn grow and thrive in a safe environment during our Y summer fun camp.

Swim, play sports, meet new friends, arts and crafts, science, dance and weekly field trips are just a part of what your child will experience in summer camp.

Preschool SUMMER CAMP 2013

 

*Must be 3 years old before October 1st to enroll in three year-old class

**Must be 4 years old before October 1st to enroll in the four year-old class

***2 ½ year old class – must be at least 2 ½ years-old to enroll

Summer Fit Camp 2013

Date: Tuesdays 7/2-8/14

Time: 4:00-7:00, Family Hour 6:00-7:00

For Children Grades 1 to 8

Location: 33 Outwater Lane Classroom/Gym

Children will learn healthy behaviors by participating in physical activities/games/exercise/sports/swim, and learn nutrition lessons and healthy cooking. They will be involved in activities  contests, and weekly challenges in practicing in healthy behaviors throughout the weeks. During Family Hour, Parents will participate with their children for fun, family health activities. 

CAMPER: $40

MEMBER: $80.00

NON-MEMBER: $120.00


 

Science camp 2013

Date: Monday through Friday, August 12th to August 16th

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

For Children Grades 1 to 8

Location: 33 Outwater Lane, Classroom

Children will participate in a variety of exciting and educational, hands-on science experiments, such as volcano building, earth boxes, five senses and eggs-periments! Field trip to Liberty Science Center. 

CAMPER: $40

MEMBER: $80.00

NON-MEMBER: $120.00


 

Art camp 2013

Date: Monday through Friday August 5th to August 9th

Time: 9:00am to 12:00pm

For Children in Grades 1 to 8

Location: 70 Outwater Lane, Multi-Purpsose Room

Children will learn art skills and techniques while creating projects-drawing, water color, painting, origami, clay, mosaic, papier-mache, and other crafts. Art work will be displayed at the YMCA. 

CAMPER: $40

MEMBER: $70.00

NON-MEMBER: $110.00


  

ADventure camp 2013

Date: Monday through Friday, July 29th to August 9th

For: Children entering 3rd grade up to 8th grade

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 

Place: Drop-off/Pick-up at 33 Outwater Lane

Children will be bused to several local parks and hiking trails. They will learn map/compass reading, outdoor first aid, more code, geo-caching, bird watching, and environmental education. Field trips to Meadowlands Environmental Center and ropes course.  

CAMPER: $40

MEMBER: $80.00

NON-MEMBER: $120.00


Camp Rock 2013

 

Students in the Camp Rock camp are divided by age into two  classes. Most of the rehearsal takes place in these smaller groups, with the whole camp  assembling the last week to ‘put it all together’. Your child will discover the value of team-work and learn the importance of self-discipline. And as they move through the weeks, mastering techniques, their confidence and self-esteem will grow. Camp rock teaches students skills for the stage, your child learns lessons for life.They will learn dance, acting set design, costume design and backstage duties as well.  The camp ends in a performance for family and friends.

 

Ages 6-8 Wednesdays 11:30-1pm

Ages 9-13 Wednesdays 1-2:30pm

Camper fee-$80.00

Member Fee-$100.00

Non member fee-$120.00
