Babysitting Offered on Tuesdays and Thursday 9:00 to 11:30am. The cost is
 $2.00 per hour.  Workout and let us take care of your child.

    


Fitness Rooms and Equipment

 

This room has many types of cardiovascular and weight bearing machines.  It has Lifecycle bikes, treadmills, recumbent bike, elliptical machines, stair masters.  For the weight bearing it has Magnum and Paramount brands.  New Members must go through a half hour orientation.

 

*These rooms are open as long as the YMCA is open.  These facilities don’t run on schedules.  They close 15 minutes before closing times.

Adult Fitness Classes

Mat Work: A class that is done all on an exercise mat with absolutely no impact. You will work all of your muscle groups for a full body workout! Pilates and Yoga moves will be included too.

Butts and Guts: Engage your core for a strengthening and slimming body work out. Low impact.

Pilates: Strengthen your core and elongate your body.

Studio Sampler: These aerobics classes might be perfect for teachers or bankers. Participants will perform a variety of different exercises that can be adjusted to varying degrees of impact and intensity.

Ultimate Lunch:  Workout on your lunch hour.  This high intensity class will get your heart pounding as it gets your metabolism moving.  Each class ends with an abs workout. 

Body Sculpt: A class using weights to build and tone your muscles. No impact.

Pump It Up:  High impact aerobics that will get your blood pumping and tone your body.

Sculpt Interval: Strength Training and Cardio Training that will be mixed up each week and all levels can participate because of modifications available.

30 Minute Abs: Thirty minutes of conditioning exercises for the torso and abdominal area. Also may include lower back exercises for balance.

Circuit Training: A full body work out with many modifications available. Can be low to no impact. Incorporates free weights, resistance bands, exercise balls, mats and traditional calisthenics.

Silver Sneaker Class: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and or standing support

Silver Sneakers Yoga: Yoga Stretch will teach a blend of three yoga styles to create a harmony of movement for the whole body. It is taught form a seated and standing position to enhance the flow and energy created in combination with restorative breathing exercises.

Mega Mix:  The Class will incorporate body sculpting, cardio and circuit training. Each week participants will enjoy a new work out routine.  

Integral Yoga: This class is taught by a certified yoga instructor. Class incorporates all aspects of yoga: physical (asana) breathing (pranayama) deep relaxation and meditation.

Cardio Kickbox Class: A face paced workout class which incorporates calisthenics such as push ups, sit ups, and running in place. This method is the most efficient way to increase the intensity of your workouts and still have fun doing it

Kickboxing:  Self Defense, Cardio training, and strength training. 

Yogalates: A perfect mix of yoga and Pilates. This class will help you relax while strengthening your muscles and giving your body an overall leaning and lengthening work out.

Zumba: is a fusion of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps to the tune of international music. An intense, energetic, dance-aerobics workout, no dance experience required. Zumba is fun and energetic, Latin-based dance exercise featuring salsa, flamenco, meringue, mambo, samba, afro-carribean, belly dance and more. Zumba turns exercise into a dance party and can burn 500 to 700 calories in an hour.

Spin: All abilities and levels welcome as your instructor leads the group with a warm up, ride and cool down . Your ride will consist of hills, climbs, maximum exertion, and pleasant straight aways. Your instructor will motivate you to stay focused and push yourself, but it’s up to you to choose your comfort level.

SPIN ON SPIN: Spin for a few minutes hard, jump off the bike and do some upper body weight work, jump back on and get the cardio going, repeat. A class that uses a spin bike, but is not dedicated to a total class on the bike!

CORE Works: Engage your core and slim down using a stability ball and mats. This is still a full body work out as your core is needed to stabilize each move.

HEAT: High Intensity and Agility Training: combining cardiovascular movement and strength training to get a full body workout primarily using body weight for resistance

Battle Stations: This intense cardio/strength class will keep you moving through a non-stop circuit style workout. Be ready for anything and everything.

Kickboxing/Step: A combination of cardio and strength is taught in segments or interval. May incorporate anything from multi-impact aerobics and step, to jump ropes, weights, and fitness balls.

Adult Hip Hop: If you love today’s Hip Hop music and love to dance, come to this class to get a work out in and have fun doing it. You’ll get a cardio work out in and burn calories.

Salsa Aerobics: A dance class with non-stop moving. Dance to the fun beat of salsa, cha-cha, afro-cuban, mambo and even some sexy moves for styling and fun. Also helps improve flexibility, coordination strengthen you cardio vascular system, tone and tighten your body. You get a salsa cardio exercise work-out at the same time that you learn how to really dance to these infectious salsa rhythms learn salsa-footwork and ladies styling. The music will take control of your body...come ready to sweat!!!!
